Why
are UV ozone generators a better choice than corona discharge ozone generators?
(For all air or surface sterilization

The Biggest difference between corona discharge and UV ozone generation methods
is that UV ozone generators have stable ozone output levels throughout humidity
ranges, while the output of corona discharge ozone generators is
significantly reduced by just moderate humidity levels such as 40–70% (ozone
output is reduced by approx. 40-70% with 40-70% humidity). In addition, with UV
ozone generators, the cleaning
requirement is almost eliminated compared to corona discharge ozone generators.
Also, the ozone produced from a UV ozone generator is cleaner (no nitric acids)
and smells better than ozone produced from corona discharge machines, and is
just as powerful and often more powerful as ozone produced by corona discharge
ozone generators.

Advantages of
Ultraviolet (UV)
ozone generation:

Disadvantages of UV ozone generation: (disadvantages
do not affect the type of systems treating air or mold as the differences in
concentration are realized when using oxygen)

depending on size while CD systems can obtain much higher concentrations
(only when used with either heated
desiccant air driers or oxygen feed gas)

Highest ozone concentration that can be produced by 185-nm UV lamp is
0.2 percent by weight, approximately 10% of the average concentration available by
corona discharge
(only applies to ozone systems designed to be used with either heated

other industrial applications)

Note that 0.2% of ozone is a significant
level; this is why ozone concentration is measured in Parts Per Million
(PPM). It only takes 3-4 PPM to kill off

Fire, Smoke, Flood, Water, ODOR, and Germ, Virus Remediation. UV ozone
generators will last longer and require minimal cleaning and maintenance while
maintaining consistent ozone output. The ozone output from all ambient air
Corona Discharge Ozone Generators is significantly diminished by humidity and
deposits (from the corona process).
UV Ozone Bulbs vs. UV
Sterilizer Bulbs
Note that UV ozone generators are
not simply UV sterilizers, but high output UV ozone generators.
There is a big difference in the
two types of UV bulbs used - often they are confused.
The bulbs included in our

obtained in a just few minutes of use. Longer treatment times will result in high
levels of ozone for shock treatment
